Memories, 2016
People usually wish to conceal their scars because they perceive them as something ugly, irregular, or distorted. I see them differently—scars are memories of events that have marked us in one way or another. Scars remind us of the vulnerability of the human body while simultaneously proving our resilience. They are aesthetic records of our personal stories.
